Why did we create Floropathy?

Our founder was in search of a product for his mother who spends up to 12-15 hours per week out in her massive country garden, what he found was that nearly all skincare was full of manmade chemicals, eventually he found a basic range of herbal medical products used in a Doctors practice located in Melbourne
A few years later, hearing all the compliments his mother was getting about how much younger she looked he had a crazy idea to build an artisan organic skincare company, in 2015 the idea of Floropathy was born. A design team was assembled to kick start Floropathy, this team included the original doctors and a Chinese practitioner to create a totally organic range of skincare using modern herbal knowledge and ancient Chinese medicine principals to deliver the highest possible nutrition levels for your skin. |

What is unique about Floropathy?
Our artisans handcrafted creams and lotions designed with Chinese medicine principals and herbal medicine techniques using live organic plant materials (not dried), grown and manufactured in Tasmania, one of the last pure climates left in the world is a one of a kind .
Tasmania is a relatively small, mountainous island geographically isolated from mainland Australia and it’s close proximity to Antarctica has made this a very rare ecosystem. In Tasmania you'll find some of the most ancient plant species on Earth, the tallest flowering trees, the oldest plant clones and a high proportion of endemic species.
Organic produce is of course, healthier for you than just ordinary produce. Using organic products and living a healthy lifestyle has many benefits, including feeling more energised and living longer.
Most of the plants and herbs are grown on our own farms or sourced from other suppliers in the region and if not available from Tasmania we then search the rest of Australia, only a few of our ingredients will come from outside Australia.
All handcrafted creams and lotions are created in a process that keeps them free of Petrochemical, Synthetic Preservative, SLS/SLES, EDTA, Parabens, Synthetic Soaps/Detergents, Artificial Colours and added Scents.

How does Floropathy put nature in a jar?
All organic live plants and herbs are processed as soon as possible after identification of peak nutrient load & harvested immediately, then pounded to the brim in to glass vats and soaked in organic ethanol for 3 to 12 months to release all their nutrients ready to make our extracts.
We grow the plants, make the ingredients (where possible) & then like all artisans we use them to make our products in small batches, ensuring the highest quality.
If we are unable to grow a plant for any reason we source plant material from the freshest, most ethical source we can find.
Our products are combinations of herbs, essential oils, flower essences & tissue salts, which have been used by many cultures including Chinese medicine & other traditional medicine systems for thousands of years.
The decades of combined learnings has allowed for the improvement of formulas over years of production to create creams and lotions that have greater penetration than most major cosmetic brands.
We use natural preservers rather than harsh chemical preservatives, as such you should try to follow the storage and use instructions. If you are fortunate to live in a hot or tropical environment please consider storing our products in the fridge.

How we manufacture
Floropathy runs quality controlled manufacturing process that is constantly monitored during production phase by our “on staff scientists “ (BoS) and batch audited by our Doctors from the design team to make sure our products are of the highest standards, so that every customer can be confident that they will get the very best of nature in each jar.
In our boutique production facility we manufacture Fresh Plant Tinctures (FPTs) from medicinal herbs grown in the pristine wilds of Tasmania and in our organically run wild gardens, to produce organically derived skincare that is the most unique in the world.
